Taylor Swift was fortunate enough to get a keeta bag,  oops… I mean I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to include a keeta collection tote in a swag bag for Taylor Swift to receive while at  the CMA.

I started out making a soft form sweet bag when something very strange happened, it grew and grew into a gigantic beach bag.  Maybe a little too large for the occasion. 😉  So I reworked my pattern into a bag that is a terrific size for everyday.  Soft and cute, fits lots of goodies and stylish.   It seemed to fit her personality, soft and sweet but yet strong.  I will have it listed for sale on my website http://keetacollection.com/Taylor-Swift-Bag.htm.

My daughter Corri from PuppyDogsNPolkaDots sent a phone case and personalized key fob to complete the set.

We hope that she loves her new set and gets a lot of good use and complements.    Take a peek and see what you think.

And a big Congrats to Taylor!!

The sun is out, the windows are open, the air is crisp and warm… what more could we ask for?  I have been dying to dig in and work on some of my new bags with the beautiful spring fabrics.   Why is it that each time I see a new Amy Butler fabric I think I MUST have it?    Good thing I spent the cold days reworking my studio, more room for fabric!

For your viewing (and buying) pleasure…

I just finished listing this tote bag, and it feels like shabby western to me.  Is that even a style?  If not, it should be.  If I had a baby girl I would keep this one for myself as a diaper bag.  Oh but wait, I had one of those beautiful blue industrial canvas diaper bags when my kids were little.  The choices were a tad limited.  I won’t even go into the maternity dress styles.  Let’s just say {ruffles}  We didn’t have an array of beautiful handmade diaper bags to choose from.

Whew!  I have had an idea in my head for this bag for a while, but it was a tough pattern to create.  (for me that is)  I’ll be making this bag with or without zippers.  In fact, I did make one for myself without a zipper. Pretty exciting, I never carry the newest bags.  But I forced myself to make two at one time so I could.  🙂    I’ll post that photo too.  What I love about carrying the magnetic closure version of this bag is when I want to dig in there to locate something it opens up really wide.  Kind of like a bucket.   Just my speed.  In fact, way way back when I needed a diaper bag  I would have used this rather than the ugly versions we had!Large Handmade Tote

Here is my very own bag!  🙂

When I spotted a delightful green tablecloth, I was determined to use it.  No matter that it doesn’t work in my kitchen or dining room.  I love this fabric and I want it!! 🙂    I tend to do that a lot, find an item I have no use for and refashion it into something I can use.

So my new tablecloth is now turning into purses!   I even broke down and made one for my own personal use.  I feel so extravagant!

Here is the Katy Bag made in part from my new tablecloth.

Funky Hipster Sling

Normally, I brag about other sellers and their items, but I am proud of this Hipster Bag I designed and have to show it off!  These Joel Dewberry fabrics go well together!  This KeetaCollection bag has pockets on the outside that are made to fit cell phones, ipods, or cameras!   I find that this bag would be perfect for a trip to the theme park!  My daughter begged me to send her a few scraps of fabric because she liked the fabrics so much too!  So…she created this Key Fob  found at PuppyDogsNPolkaDots out of one of the fabrics that I sent.  Hope you enjoy this collection of creative fabrics as much as my daughter and I did!

Cute cute cute key fob!
