Oh how the time flies.  I can not believe it is already September.  That means tailgating, football, thoughts of fall (maybe not the actual weather, but we can think about it)  and before you know it, Christmas!   I have been busy busy busy sewing up a storm with no time to post.  I thought I would pop in and post a few pictures of my newest bags and its always a good excuse to post some cute pup pics… just because he is so adorable.   Enjoy.

The question that haunts teen girls this time of year… Where to find a cool, funky school bag?  Conveniently, I have an answer 😉  I have been playing around with my messenger bags a bit and created a new pattern.  It has plenty of room, a zipper top, and pockets around the entire  bag.  (8 in all!)   Take a peek, (keetacollection.com)  I have a couple finished, but always happy to make that custom bag just for you.

Once upon a time, I used a fabric lovingly nicknamed Mod Dots.  The mod dots bags were being snagged up from Florida to California.  It was a sad day for me when I came to the end of the dots.  There were only scraps to be found.  This was the beginning of the bags I now refer to as strip bags.  A bag based on one 2″ strip of mod dots fabrics.  Eventually I had to tell my customers there was NO MORE to be found.

Fast forward two years as I walk through the local fabric shop and spot a bolt of the dots.  I looked around to see if there were cameras on me to capture the moment.  It was like a scene in a movie – you know the one in the field with the two lovers running towards each other.  Just me and my mod dots!   I know, I am probably creeping you out at this point… haha.  Well, now I have the fabric and not too much time to play with it.  But I did make a messenger bag for a special young girl, and I have taken a couple of special orders as well.    Ah the mod dots….
